Milestones:

1. World Diabetes Day is celebrated every year by the Society with the slogan “Unite for Children with Diabetes”. Awareness is created about Diabetes in children to the public by distributing Pamphlets in the regional language.

2. Diabetic Child Society was involved in the KIDS Program of Sanofi Aventis India – the objective was to Sensitize Schools about Type 1 Diabetes in children. The Society started programs for teachers in a couple of schools like Sri Satya Sai Vidya Vihar and Govt schools.

3. Public education programs on diet and diabetes – GITAM College of management, Bullayya College, Sun school Vizianagaram, Lions Club members, Online webinars.

4. October 2nd 2016 – Daan Utsav – joy of giving week 2016
Sri. Omkareshwar, Principal commissioner of Income Tax and Sri B.G.Reddy Principal Commissioner of Income tax shared their views on importance of educating and to bring out awareness about diabetes especially in children and their families.

5. Aug 30th 2015 The society organized its first annual CME for health care professionals. 225 physicians and pediatricians were educated about management of Diabetes in Young and adolescents by leading endocrinologists in India.

6. March 14 2015 – IDF – Life for a Child Support Program.
